my story
When my mother was diagnosed with Narcissistic Personality Disorder, I didn’t have a clue what that meant. I heard a lot of people saying how destructive narcissists are and I got curious enough to do my own research. In my journey to understand this disorder, I started asking people what their parents were like. It soon became clear that the very things I experienced in my childhood were not what others were telling me was a normal childhood.
The differences were staggering! I came across so many people who couldn’t grasp the distorted reality created by an NPD parent. It was completely opposite what a mother (or father) was expected to be. It is generally understood that all mothers have an automatic caring connection to their offspring. But for a parent with NPD, all connections are focused on what benefits them, not their growing, learning children.
There were those who got it, and those who didn’t. I wrote my book to help those who “got it” to discover what the narcissist in their life denied them: their agency. This superpower is what allows us to go from the years of traumatic abuse and confusion to healing and living a fulfilling life. One with created purpose!

"You either take control of your life or it takes control of you.
It’s that simple."
my mission
My mission is to teach those interested in moving past this type of abuse, to realize their ability to heal themselves. The superpower we all contain: an ability to heal at our own speed and in our own unique way.
We will continue to be what the narcissist created for us to be, until we learn how to THINK for ourselves outside of their lens. Only then can we get to the core of who we truly are and finally look forward through our own personal lens. We really can achieve an ability to move past the hyper-vigilance of always trying to stay safe, stuck in the lower levels of Maslow's pyramid.
